Pamela Ferguson

Pamela Ferguson began writing small town romance fiction before happily expanding her storytelling to include World War II historical romance and time travel romantic suspense. Specializing in gossips, meddlers, matchmakers and happily-ever-afters, Pamela loves wreaking havoc in the lives of her characters who are forever doing battle with narrow-minded mischief makers. Who knew there were so many bumps on the road to love? Wings of Love, the first book in the Lilac series, won the 2017 RWA Golden Heart® Award for Romance with Religious or Spiritual Elements.

This is the third book of the Lilac Romance series, and this is small town meets big city! Chloe lives in Lilac, and as a bridal dress designer is thrilled to get an invitation to design a dress for a wealthy, Wall Street financier’s daughter. Luke has been sent to Lilac to rescind the invitation. But what he finds is much more worthwhile than crashing a dream. This is the kind of story I love to listen to while I am walking. It’s makes my heart sing when a story has good bones and builds on it, with wonderful characters and a love that is surprising and new. Pamela Ferguson always brings that to us, and this installment of the series is no exception! It will take you to your happy place just like it does me!

One Lilac Christmas
A Lilac Romance Novella
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard
This novella is the perfect listen to start to get into the holiday spirit! Amity and Zach enlist in the army together. They have plans, but because of flat feet, Zach is sent home. Now the two are separated, never having told the other how they really feel. Amity comes home to sort things out before her next assignment. Will their pride continue to get in their way? I love this book because it’s Christmas, but also because it features a strong, woman soldier! We don’t get to see much of this for the time period it’s written for and it’s refreshing. It does let us delve into family and expectations, as well as mend fences. I enjoyed this short WWII piece and as always will be watching for more by Pamela Ferguson.
Stephanie Dillard gives a wonderfully warm performance with her portrayal of the story. Her character voices are genuine and she has a good pace. Her narration is very enjoyable.

By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Linney Dillard
You never know where love will find you. Pamela Ferguson delves into a the life of Noelle Arber as she takes on the job for her town. She is well acquainted with the local orchard and goes to gather mistletoe bunches to decorate Main Street. In the orchard she meets Cole Higgenbotham, a man who has left his family business to start a new chapter in his life. Cole is tired of the same thing year after year, being part of a unit. He is ready to break away and be on his own, but leaving was not blessed by his family. Now with a problem with the decorations, Cole finds himself reaching out to his family for help and filling his heart with love. If you love stories that fill you up and make you feel good, you will love Noelle and Cole. Noelle seems very innocent, but she is very wise. She is not only smart when it comes to her craft, but she knows what is important in life. Cole is the best kind of man you can find. He is responsive and loving, but what I really found intriguing was his ability to understand what is important in life. I loved this story, and it’s a great way to start the holidays!
Narrated by Stephanie Dillard, you will find great voices and a wonderful portrayal of the story. She understands her characters and makes them very realistic. I love her performances.

Wings of Love
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard
Welcome to Lilac. Once you visit, you will keep coming back! This is the first book in the series, but I listened to them out of order, and they all stand alone. Lilac is a small town, everyone knows everyone’s business and there are always expectations. Reo is attempting to get ready for her exams when she is asked to help organize the decorations for the town’s 250th anniversary. Her biggest problem is her ability to say no, so of course, she is now taking on the task. But she has help! Jack is back in town to get ready to sell his family home. He has no intention of staying, but the mayor pulls him in with the same request. These two working together will be a job in itself. There is history there and this enemies to lovers romance is just the ticket to finding their true feelings. I love Lilac! I has that hometown, community feel. Pamela Ferguson creates fantastic characters and Reo and Jack are no exceptions. I love Reo for her ambition, and her need to please others. It can be overwhelming, but with Jack by her side, even as they fake their feelings of getting along, things are easier. Jack is sweet. He has grown and matured, so the reputation he held is a little out of date. This is a fun and easy listen, with some faith and true love to pull us through. Loved the visit!
Stephanie Dillard is our narrator and she is the perfect fit for Lilac. She has a wide variety of voices, and she finds the match to each personality of the characters. Telling these stories with the way I anticipate it sounding is half the fun, and she nails each one. I truly enjoy her.

A Little Christmas Spirit
A Lilac Novella
Series: Lilac Romance, Book 7
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard

Pamela Ferguson pens another enjoyable small town romance set in her “Lilac” series and she adds a wonderful angelic and ghostly spin to the story. Marla Norquist, a reporter, gets an anonymous tip about a celebrity wedding that sends her to Lilac to find out more and she gets a whole more than she bargained for. They did not exactly welcome her with open arms at first, thinking she was there for celebrity gossip, but once she proved otherwise, they gave her a room at the Inn, an inn that is haunted. Jacob Reed missed his brother’s wedding, but he returned to Lilac to fill in for him at the hardware store so he can go on a honeymoon. He was not expecting to run into a lawyer who knows the dilemma he was in with the law. He is reluctant to talk to her at first, but she is not your typical cut throat reporter, plus she knows how to fix a cash register, something he was struggling with at the store. This is a cute story and like the rest of the books in the series, it is well written and well told, each book is a standalone so there is no need to have read any of the other books to enjoy this one though I recommend them all. Pamela Ferguson thank you for another fabulous story.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Stephanie Dillard is the perfect narrator to bring these characters and story to life. She has a complete understanding of the characters she portrays, does an excellent job covering both the male and female roles, giving each a voice that suits that character, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into her performance. This talented narrator and a versatile voice artist is an entertaining storyteller and are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Christmas at Mountain Mist
Series: Lilac Romance, Book 5
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard
This is a sweet and fabulously delightful small town romance, the fifth in Pamela Ferguson’s “Lilac” series of standalone novels and novellas. I am enjoying this series, the stories are well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The story is set around the holidays, but you can enjoy it anytime of the year. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are likable and easy to care about too. Camille Zignetti, an environmentalist lawyer, thought she had her dream job working with a famous actor and fellow environmentalist, but he turned out he was not always on the up and up and was not like he claimed to be. She is embarrassed by the scandal and wants to hide out and when she gets a call that her grandfather is ill and that she is his liaison for the family, she goes to Lilac to find out what is going on with him, his health and why her family members did not have permission to talk about his health. Camille travels to Mountain Mist and arrives safely despite the terrible winter storm. She was not expecting to see her ex-boyfriend, Dr. Brady Thomasson, to be working at Mountain Mist senior living community where her grandfather lived. Brady and Camille were in love, but their careers took them to different places. I adored these two characters, some of the secondary characters were great too, including Leo, who had his reason for making Camille his only contact. This is a beautifully plotted second chance romance, and the author fits an impressive amount of story in her novella sized book, a great book to enjoy in one sitting. Pamela Ferguson, thank you for another enjoyable story.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Stephanie Dillard is a talented narrator and versatile voice artist. She covers the voices for all the characters, gives each their own distinct sound, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She has a complete understanding of the characters she is portraying, takes each role and makes it her own, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into her performance. Stephanie Dillard is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.

Love Accepted: A Lilac Novella
Series: Lilac Romance, Book 6
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard
Pamela Ferguson pens another wonderful story set in her Lilac series, each book features different lead characters and stands on their own, though some characters may appear in each other’s books and seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. After meeting and hearing about Carly Day in previous books, I was curious to see what kind of person she really was. We only got one side of her story, the side from her children whom she left behind when they were young to go on to bigger and better places. Her children are all grown up now, and she has her first grandson, and wants to get to know him. Except her daughter, Reo, wants nothing to do with her. Reo’s husband is away on business and she needed help around the house while she recovers from back issues. Her husband’s uncle, Pete Warfield, is staying with her while he is away, but her brother, who is more forgiving than her, brings Carly by because he thinks she would be a great help too. Carly also wants to redeem herself and can only hope she can get Reo’s forgiveness. Carly and Pete remember each other from before they left, and he becomes her ally and the two make a great team. It is amazing how much story Ms. Ferguson fits into her novella sized books, the story is beautifully plotted and meaningful with the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and sweet romance. Thank you for another great story.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Stephanie Dillard is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She continues to do an awesome job bringing these characters and their story to life. Her characters’ voices are consistent and she has a complete understanding of the characters she is portraying, giving each a voice that suits the characters persona and is believable in every role she plays. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into her performance. Stephanie Dillard is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Mercy Me
Lilac Romance, Book 3
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard
Pamela Ferguson pens another sweet romance set in Lilac, this is a novella sized book but it still packs an impressive amount of story, enough to fully develop her characters and create a story that is heartfelt and meaningful. Each book in the series stands on its own, as in most small towns, characters reappear in each other’s books and if you have read or listened to the first two books, seeing them is like seeing old friends. This third book is Chloe Belmont’s story, a bridal dress designer and lifelong resident of Lilac, she and her mom have a successful business but none of her clients live in Lilac despite having a business on Main Street. Her designer dresses are unique and eclectic for Lilac. But she applied to and was accepted to take part in a charity bridal vendor auction for a daughter of a prominent billionaire, an event that should bring her more notoriety and hopefully appreciation from the residents of Lilac. Luke Stratford works on Wall Street for that prominent billionaire who assigned him to go to Lilac to make sure Chloe does not make it to that auction. He does not understand why but he slowly puts the pieces together when he gets there, and the more time he spends with Chloe to more he realizes how much his attraction to her grows,he also realized how much he misses small town living. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is a beautifully plotted story with drama, low angst, a nice twist, some heartfelt and heart-warming moments, and a slow burn romance. Pamela Ferguson, thank you for another lovely story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Stephanie Dillard is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artists who continues to deliver a great performance bringing these characters and their story to life. Her characters voices are consistent and she has a complete understanding of the characters she is portraying, she takes each role and makes it her own and is convincing in every roles she plays. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into her performance. Stephanie Dillard is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Red Bows and Mistletoe
A Holiday Story to Enjoy Anytime of the Year!
This is a wonderful romance story and a great addition to the Lilac series. The residents and business owners of Lilac are getting ready for the holidays and Noelle Arber, an herb farmer, takes advantage of making some extra money by hanging decorations she makes from the mistletoe she harvests at her neighboring apple orchard. Cole Higgenbotham was not happy working in his family’s year round Christmas business and he moved on to greener pastures or rather taking a job at an apple orchard. He is still finding his way as a caretaker and the orchard itself and when he sees some odd lights in the trees he is surprised at what he finds, a woman working in the trees. He had not none of Noelle’s arrangement with the former owner but she convinced Cole she was not a poacher and when he finds out how much she knows about the trees he comes up with a compromise and a surprising proposition. Cole wants to succeed in this new job and will do what it takes. Noelle has goals and she is busy doing what it takes to get there. These two were great together and for each other, she made him see things in a different light and he opener her eyes to new things too. I enjoyed how everything played out in this book, it is a holiday story that can be enjoyed any time of the year. Pamela Ferguson, thank you for another sweet romance, I love how much story you fit in your novella sized books, perfect books to enjoy in one sitting.

True Hearts
Lilac Romance, Book 2
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard
It is nice to be back in Pamela Ferguson’s Lilac for another fabulously sweet and meaningful small town romance. This is the second book in the series but it stands on its own characters from the first book make appearances and it is like seeing old friends. This book is Sunny DeStefano and Buck Day’s story, Lilac is home to Sunny and she loves living the small town life. After her father’s heart attack, her parents retired and moved to Florida for retired living, Sunny took over her mother’s hair salon and even though her mother is out of state, she still micromanagers her as if she was there. All of her mother’s friends call her to fill her in on everything going on, not only in Lilac but in Sunny’s life and the salon. Sunny wants to manage the store her own way, but her mother gives her a hard time, even from a distance. Sunny is busy making everyone’s hair pretty for Donnie Green and Leanna Killian’s wedding, which most of the townfolk will attend, plus some past residents, including Buck Day. Buck never had a great family life and left Lilac without looking back, he always had a crush on Sunny, but he knows she would be a forever type of girl, something he never wanted. Even though he made another life for himself and built a successful business, he still feels lonely and seeing Sunny again stirs up old feelings and Lilac offers some more surprises for him, including a family member he never knew he had. This beautifully plotted story captivated my attention from start to end, it contains plenty of drama, both family, relationship and town, heartwarming and heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. Pamela Ferguson, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Wings of Love
Lilac Romance, Book 1
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Dillard
I enjoyed this book immensely, it is a small town romance that grabs your attention and tugs on your heartstrings from start to end. Pamela Ferguson is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, the storylines she creates are interesting and original and the characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are likable and easy to care about too. Reo Greene has goals, she also has a heart of gold and does not know how to say no to anybody who asks something of her and she winds up taking on too much working several jobs while trying to finish college. Having Jack Warfield run into her while working the race was not the highlight of her day, neither was seeing him again. The two have history and it is not good history. Jack Warfield is back in Lilac to sell her his mother’s home while on a forced leave from his job as a Peacetalker mediator because he failed to follow protocol. He does not plan on staying too long in Lilac, but when mayor asks him to work with Reo to help evaluate proposals from shop owners to decorate Main Street for the town’s 250th anniversary, he can not say no. The mayor is setting an example of having two known enemies work together with hopes the shop owners will do the same. These two find they have something in common and it opens their eyes to look at what really happened in their past and to resolve their issues. This is a fabulous small town, it is a beautifully plotted story with plenty of drama, light on angst, heavy on heartfelt emotions, charm and inspirations and sweet romance. Pamela Ferguson, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Pamela Ferguson cast the perfect narrator to bring her story and characters to life. Stephanie Dillard is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. True Hearts
By: Pamela Ferguson
Narrated by: Stephanie Linney Dillard
There is something to be said about small town romance. The buzz of the community, the lack of privacy and the forward questions! When it comes to Buck and Sunny, this is all true! Buck has come back to Lilac to attend a wedding, and when he sees Sunny, all the feelings from his teenage years come flooding back. Sunny is attracted to him too, but now that they are both grown, will they fit together? What I really love about this book is the senior home. Ferguson has woven in Mountain Mist and it fun cast of seniors. It brings a true sense of life and how history is so important to the community. We get to enjoy their conversations and wisdom, and Buck in particular finds a part of him he didn’t know. This second chance at finding love and happiness is fun, witty and full of charisma. I loved it.
Stephanie Dillard continues this series with her wonderful narration. She has a very warm voice and easily changes it for the characters. This book has so many of different ages, and she seamlessly switches from teenage to senior citizen. It’s a pleasure to hear her.

A health inspectors life is complicated by anti-vax protesters and PPE speculators …and then there’s that inconvenient time travel stuff but since this is her second jump so April’s more or less got the hang of it in this second book in the Hackle County series. It’s a fun story – short so it’ll fill an afternoon or a short trip. Timely and entertaining. –

His Scottish War Bride – One Sentence Audio Critic on Goodreads
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38343865-his-scottish-war-bride
This is a short (2 hr.) lightly Christian, delightful historic romance, in which an award winning author tells the tale of a Scottish war bride joining her new American banker husband in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

His French War Bride – Sharon on Goodreads

The plot is exciting and moves along quickly, the love story progresses fast, but in those times, one never knew how long they would be alive or stationed in any given place. The characters are very nicely written and have great chemistry. It was a wonderful pleasure to read this book.
