Charles Harrel is a Christian speculative fiction author, inspirational writer, and former pastor with more than 650 published works to his credit. His articles, devotionals, and inspirational stories have appeared in numerous periodicals and anthologies, including ten contributions to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. After serving churches in California, Nevada, and Oregon for thirty years, Charles turned his focus to writing stories that encourage readers to explore faith, hope, and eternity.

About Me
My publishing journey began forty years ago after hearing a sermon my uncle preached about the great moments in the Bible. I wanted to expand the message and put it into print for others to appreciate. All proceeds from the book went to his mission in Ghana.
After pastoring for thirty years, I felt called to reach out beyond the walls of organized religion and connect with individuals open to spiritual matters, but who may not be involved in a local church. So, I began writing. My first works were devotionals, then anthologies, followed by five books. I hope to publish Book Four in The Day After Always series in 2026.
The many works of Stephen R. Lawhead, The Kinsman Chronicles by Jill Williamson, and Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series have inspired me. I write my novels in a similar style.
My main book genres are Christian Speculative Fiction and Science Fiction and Fantasy. The novels are spiritual adventure stories about the possibilities and perils that may be waiting in future.
Besides writing, I enjoy painting landscapes in acrylics.

An exciting thought provoking read, and the first book in the series. I loved the glossary and maps. The story was fast paced and characters likable and each personality well developed. This is Christian fiction at its finest, which seemed like science fiction at times because of the awesome God given supernatural giftings displayed. The third book in the Day After Always series has become my favorite! The story brings the first two into another wonderful possibility about what “forever” holds for us all. I love the imaginative possibilities of ongoing hope and redemption, the endless pursuit of Good, and the timeless tales of Love. The characters from the first two adventures are united in an epic battle to restore unity and hope . . . and there is no shortage of unexpected setbacks and heroic encounters along the way!
