It is human nature to compare ourselves with others, and the church is no different. Just as Paul’s Epistles allowed the early church to peer into the lives of each other, The Church Down the Street allows readers to peer into the worship services of other churches. In an unbiased approach the author lets you experience the worship service as seen through the eyes of a reporter.
The Church Down the Street contains anecdotes and stories from the actual worship services and asks thought provoking questions that allow readers to draw their own conclusions.
· See strengths and weakness in the worship service.
· Re-evaluate hospitality toward visitors.
· Become more aware of source material used in the worship service.
· Compare and contrast music presentations and selections.
· Discern the value and content of the sermon.
